The objective of the first month is to build a reliable local-search foundation—not to chase a guaranteed position. For a new AC maintenance, plumbing, cleaning or pest control company in Dubai or elsewhere in the UAE, start by making the business easy to understand, easy to contact and accurately represented online. Then measure what happens so the next month is guided by evidence rather than guesswork.
This checklist is designed to be worked through in order. Skip tasks that do not apply, and do not create a profile, location page or business listing that misrepresents how the company operates.
Days 1–3: Confirm the real-world business details
- Write down the official business name. Use the name customers see on real-world branding and documents. Do not append service keywords or neighbourhood names just to influence search.
- Define the service offer. List the services actually delivered, such as AC maintenance, leak repair, deep cleaning or pest treatment. Note exclusions, emergency availability and any booking requirements.
- Map genuine coverage. Identify the emirates, districts or communities the team can reliably reach. Consider travel time, staffing and appointment capacity before advertising a wide service area.
- Choose a contact route. Confirm that phone calls, the enquiry form and the WhatsApp link reach a monitored account. Decide who owns follow-up and during which hours replies are realistic.
These details should agree across the website and business listings. A clear, honest offer is more useful than claiming to cover every area or service.
Days 4–7: Set up an eligible Google Business Profile
Check eligibility before creating a profile. Google's guidance generally requires in-person contact with customers during stated hours. If the company travels to customers and does not receive them at its address, follow the service-area business rules and hide the address where appropriate. Do not use an unstaffed virtual office as a pretend branch.
- Claim or create the profile only if the business is eligible and you are authorised to manage it.
- Choose the closest accurate primary category and add only relevant additional categories.
- Enter the correct phone number, website, hours and real service area.
- Add the services offered and a concise, factual business description.
- Complete the verification process and keep access with the business owner.
Use Google's official Business Profile eligibility guidance and business representation guidelines as the source of truth. For more detail, read our Google Business Profile setup checklist for UAE service-area businesses.
Week 2: Build useful service and contact pages
Do not publish a large batch of near-identical pages just because a keyword list contains many services or neighbourhoods. Start with the pages customers need to decide whether to contact you.
- Homepage: explain what the business does, where it works, why it is credible and how to request help.
- Priority service pages: describe what is included, the process, relevant limits, likely questions and the next step.
- Contact page: make phone, WhatsApp, hours and enquiry options easy to find on mobile.
- Trust information: show genuine team details, qualifications, insurance or licences only when they exist and can be substantiated.
Use one clear heading per page, descriptive page titles, readable paragraphs and links to related services. For area pages, include genuinely useful coverage details rather than simply replacing “Dubai” with another location name. Our guide to service pages versus area pages explains how to make that decision.
Week 2: Check whether search engines can access the site
Before writing more content, confirm that the important pages can be crawled and indexed.
- Open each priority page in a normal browser and check for errors or unexpected redirects.
- Confirm that the page has a self-consistent canonical URL and is not accidentally marked noindex.
- Check that robots.txt does not block important content or resources.
- Submit the sitemap in Google Search Console and review any processing errors.
- Use URL Inspection for a small number of priority URLs when you need to check Google's view of a page.
- Add normal internal links from the homepage and relevant articles so the pages are discoverable without relying only on the sitemap.
Google explains that a sitemap can help discovery but does not guarantee indexing. See its sitemap guidance and SEO Starter Guide.
Week 3: Make enquiries and reviews easier to handle
Local visibility is only one part of the customer journey. A visitor should be able to understand the service and make contact without hunting for a phone number.
- Test the website on a real phone, including the menu, forms and WhatsApp link.
- Use a prefilled WhatsApp message that asks for only useful details, such as the service needed and general area. Keep it editable.
- Make the next step clear: what information to send, when the team usually responds and what happens after an enquiry.
- After genuine completed jobs, invite customers neutrally to leave an honest review. Do not offer incentives, pressure customers or ask only people expected to be positive.
- Respond professionally to reviews without publishing private job or customer information.
Our guides to WhatsApp quote buttons and genuine Google review requests cover the practical details.
Week 4: Establish a baseline and prioritise the next fixes
Record the date the site and profile became fully usable, the pages published, and the state of the tracking setup. In Search Console, review impressions, clicks, queries and indexed-page reports when data becomes available. In analytics, separate phone or WhatsApp button clicks from completed enquiries; a click does not prove that a message was sent or a qualified lead was received.
Keep a simple log with the change, date, reason and result. For example, if a service page gets impressions but few clicks, review whether its title accurately matches the search intent. If visitors reach the page but do not contact the company, inspect clarity, trust information, mobile usability and the enquiry process before adding more pages.
Do not judge success from a single search made from one phone. Local results can vary by the searcher's location and query. Google's explanation of local ranking factors describes relevance, distance and prominence; there is no button to request a guaranteed position.

Frequently asked questions
Can a new UAE service business rank on Google in 30 days?
There is no reliable 30-day ranking guarantee. Use the first month to establish accurate business information, make important pages accessible, measure a baseline and fix obvious issues. Visibility depends on the search, location, competition and other factors.
Does every service-area business need a Google Business Profile?
Only eligible businesses should create a profile. Google generally requires in-person contact with customers during stated hours. A business that travels to customers should follow Google's service-area and address rules.
Should I create a page for every Dubai neighbourhood?
No. Create a separate area page only when you can provide useful, accurate information about serving that area. Repeated pages that only swap place names add little value.
How should a new business ask for reviews?
Ask real customers for honest feedback after genuine jobs, without incentives, pressure or selectively asking only customers expected to leave positive reviews.
What should I measure during the first month?
Record profile completeness, important pages published, Search Console impressions and clicks, relevant enquiry actions, and the quality of enquiries. These are baselines, not promises of ranking improvement.
